Today, we are excited to introduce the latest installment of the VIZIO Branded Content Studio. We’re announcing the upcoming launch of a new, exclusive, unscripted food series called Rockstar Kitchen Chronicles. Hosted by Gavin Rossdale, lead singer and songwriter of the iconic band Bush, the series brings celebrity guests into Rossdale's home for intimate cooking sessions, candid conversations, and, of course, music.
Currently in production and scheduled to premier early 2025 on WatchFree+, the show will feature an exciting lineup of stars, including tennis legend Serena Williams, multi-hyphenate entertainer Common, actress Selma Blair, author and actress Brooke Shields, iconic singer Sir Tom Jones, and actor and comedian Jack McBrayer, among others.

Rockstar Kitchen Chronicles is just the latest in a string of food-related content offerings from VIZIO. In May we announced that celebrity chef, TV host, and successful restauranteur Tom Colicchio is bringing the second season of his innovative cooking show The Pantry exclusively to VIZIO’s WatchFree+. In the series, executive producer Colicchio shares culinary secrets and kitchen essentials with other chefs and celebrities in a state-of-the-art kitchen.
Last year, we partnered with BetMGM for a custom-branded series “3 Pointers” — a four-part limited series of game-day recipes, beverages, and other entertaining content tied to the college basketball tournament.
Driving this trend, like any other content strategy we implement, is VIZIO’s viewership data from Inscape, which analyzes over 24 million opted-in Smart TVs. According to this data, 42% of VIZIO viewers are foodies, and the time spent watching food and cooking-related content on VIZIO increased by 16.5% in 2024, underscoring growing audience interest in culinary programming.
Armed with this data, VIZIO and our partner brands can present viewers with more of the content they’ve asked for with their viewing time, often promoted directly and exclusively on the VIZIO Home Screen, in order to transport viewers directly into the content they crave, through which sponsoring brands can engage viewers at the very start of their entertainment journey.
Rockstar Kitchen Chronicles was created by Gavin Rossdale and is headed by Executive Producers Dominic Ianno and Alex Dundas of Roundtable Entertainment. It is produced by Robert Friedman and Mike Powers of Bungalow Media + Entertainment and Sarah Donnelly of Roundtable Entertainment. It is directed by Jesse Davey. Creator Engine will be handling post-production and Keshet International will oversee global distribution outside of the US. The production is backed by Eric Levin, Jon Turner and Allie Dvorin at Apex Content Ventures of Publicis Media.
